Security Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:

Security Infrastructure makes security possible: all the ideas and plans are just words on paper. The Security Infrastructure team is what turns plans into strategic reality. We’re building a world-class team at the cutting edge of ensuring that the global enterprise is secured against a wide variety of threats; making decisions about designing and deploying all manner of technologies and controls. The roadmap is complex, the pace intense, and the impact will be global and measurable.

We're looking for an engineer to work on this fast-paced team; our ideal candidate isn’t satisfied with the security status quo, is looking to push the boundaries, and is capable of quickly picking up technical skills and adapting to new technologies as they align with our mission. Security doesn’t need to have been your focus: we’re looking for technically adept people who know how to deploy tools and integrate things, who know how data flows from on-prem to and through SaaS tools, and who can put code together to get systems talking, who understand what happens when a user types in a URL and hits return, who see a problem and asks, “how do I make this better?”

What would you do in this role

  • Design, and implement strategic controls and detective measures
  • Partner as necessary, driving initiatives forward aggressively
  • Take in context from engineering, cloud operations, and others to ensure we strike a balance between security capabilities and corporate operations

Desired Skills

  • Experience solving high-priority and high-visibility technical challenges
  • Experience writing quick and effective glue code to get systems talking and working
  • Experience with Zero Trust, 2FA hardware, security tooling, or asset management tooling
  • Experience with application automation
  • Experience working with/across IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams

You and your agile team will have this in common.

  • You value praise for a job well executed and will leverage highly visible projects both affecting and adding value to large parts of the company.
  • You are interested in learning, self-education, and reverse engineering through examining code or human interviews, to see the heart of the problem; if you are not an expert, you can be with support and time.
  • You utilize scripts and/or code to help ensure a detected problem remains detected and resolved; everyone is working at maintainable automated security and IT solutions. Automation opportunities will be in Windows, Linux, or MacOS in partnership with subject matter experts, as needed, to get results.
  • You leverage experience with cloud native based solutions with administration, creation or integration, including a background in Azure or AWS, OAuth/SAML, SQL/PowerBI, and a strong appreciation for what Infrastructure of Code brings.
  • You have the skills to network, explain, advocate, and suggest achievable solutions when accidentally taking on more than you can chew; you will have basic project management skills (or better).

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to articulate technical and/or security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as a technical problem solver
  • A high level of integrity and a moral compass\
