A second packaging and research facility is under construction in Willows and scheduled for completion in Summer 2021.

Position Description

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on, entry level Project Manager or Coordinator to support the construction of Rumiano’s new building in Willows. The ideal candidate is eager to jump in and do whatever is necessary, a quick learner who can leverage their project management knowledge and organizational skills to quickly get up to speed and get tasks done. They may help coordinate a timeline or resources, organize files, update a budget, ensure desks are assembled or walls get painted correctly – whatever is needed to drive the building plan to successful completion. They may also take the lead on sub-projects as they gain experience or demonstrate their skills.

 

The high-impact position reports directly to the Director of Operations and is part of a multi-million-dollar construction project team, collaborating with departments across Rumiano Cheese Company.

Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the project plan, activities and schedule
  • Complete and track assigned tasks, expediting those at risk or which have fallen behind
  • Identify missing activities and get them in the plan and completed
  • Work closely with Rumiano team members, helping to get their tasks done
  • Participate in project status and oversight meetings

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of project management, coordination or similar school projects or experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred but not required) or equivalent relevant training and/or experience
  • Familiarity with production, warehouse operations or construction a big plus
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications, project management fundamentals and software
  • Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to stay on track and focused
  • Highly persistent and resourceful – ability to pivot when run into a wall and find another way
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
