Responsible for managing all aspects of the Service Department including driving sales volume, profitability, customer satisfaction, staffing and employee development.
Functions:
- Direct and maintain the daily operations of the service department, including expenses and profitability of the service department.
- Develop and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Advises customers of repairs needed and estimated costs.
- Schedule, recruit and supervise service staff and technicians. Oversee all service tickets assigned to technicians.
- Assure that repair orders are paid for in a prompt manner.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for Service Technicians and Service Writers. Works with Human Resources on any staffing decisions and/or concerns, as needed.
- Oversee all warranty claim procedures to ensure they are done in a timely, efficient manner, maximizing recovery from the manufacturer.
- Schedule periodic safety meetings with department staff to ensure everyone is kept up to date. Attends and participates in management meetings as requested.
