Our client, a stable, growing chemical manufacturer is seeking a 5+ year experienced mechanical/reliability engineer to both keep their operating units/equipment running smoothly on a daily basis, but also help in longer term planning and processes in reliability as the company is actively adding new units and expanding capacity in existing ones.  We've seen several engineers join the company, contribute and have been rewarded with upward mobility and or broadening assignments within much shorter periods of time vs. major chemical plants/companies.   

Keys for success include:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 3-10 years' experience as mechanical reliability engineer in a chemical plant or refinery with track record of identifying, recommending and solving both daily and longer term reliability issues
• Preference for candidates with piping and both rotating & fixed equipment experience with more interest/emphasis in rotating equipment reliability exp. e.g. pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Experience with material compatibility issues with rotating equipment
• Chemical plant or refinery experience
• U.S.Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required

Company is expanding capacity in several units, is well funded and profitable. People and backing from large organizations-excellent mentors to learn from, but maintains a smaller plant/family corporate culture and feel.

Location close to major cities with night life, universities, etc. but far enough away from urban hustle/traffic for nice blend of work/projects combined with lower stress and higher quality of life.
