Seeking a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to support small capital projects [$25K-$2M] from development thru construction at multiple client locations in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Area.
Responsibilities include oversight of both internal and external engineering and design resources, function as project representative on behalf of plant engineering team from initial stages thru turnover to operations. Provide technical support and project management to unit operations, maintenance and others to define project objectives, scheduling requirements, material specifications and deliverables for successful project execution. Note: This is a full time in-plant position.
Ideal candidate has:
1. BSME with 5-10 years of experience supporting multi-discipline projects from chemicals and/or downstream/midstream oil and gas market sectors.
2. Must be US Citizen and have a current TWIC Card.
3. Background using SAP or other business enterprise software.
4. Knowlegable of technical disciplines and industry practices for design and construction.
5. Must be able to read and interpret PFD's, P&ID's, equipment specifications and construction plans.
