Our client is a privately held regional manufacturing, heavy haul & logistics company that services the construction, electrical power, forestry products, & steel/manufactured product industries. The firm has a rich history of success, is well-respected, values its employees, and growing/diversifying at a rapid pace.

There is an immediate need to secure an accomplished Manager of Business Development as a key addition to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Exercise & optimize a "book of business" to grow the company's top line sales with existing and new client accounts
  • Expand markets along the Gulf Coast & southeast United States
  • Establish company as market leader in sales territories and capture market share from competitors
  • Create & execute a comprehensive business plan for growth model
  • Secure, train, develop, & lead motivated team of sales professionals
  • Create & implement a system to measure/reward performance

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of sales/business development in freight brokerage business with established clients
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, etc
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, proven sales professional with high integrity & exceptional work ethic
  • Demonstrated expertise with CRM & transportation IT systems
  • Creative leader with excellent communication & social media skills
