Our client, a privately held, very well funded, stable and growing chemical manufacturer is seeking a mid to senior level process engineer to join their newly formed Process Technology Excellence Team which has been charged to take a fresh look at all of the process units/their operations to identify near and long term opportunities to improve their process units in terms of safety, yield, economics and market optimization.
This will be a ChemE's dream job in that the review and recommendations are a clean slate with a lean corporate organization hungry for new perspectives and suggestions. This setup is contrary to most large chemical companies in that ideas for improvement are actively sought out and more importantly acted upon without a lot of red tape. As a matter-of-fact in this position, you need to be careful about what you recommend because it's likely to be given quick consideration, serious thought, quick support from management along with capital funding and action upon good ideas.
