Our client, a well-established chemical manufacturer with diversified assets, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Development to lead tenant acquisition and site growth for their industrial chemical park. The site’s proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, the Mississippi River, major roadways and railroads places it at the heart of the US southern region's largest intermodal transportation hub. This role is responsible for positioning the site as a premier destination for industrial tenants by developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies, identifying synergistic growth opportunities, and building a strong pipeline of prospective tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic marketing and business development efforts to attract industrial tenants.
- Identify growth opportunities and synergistic partnerships to enhance site value.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote the site’s offerings.
- Leverage data and market intelligence to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Create compelling marketing content aligned with economic development incentives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in business development, marketing, or commercial strategy, preferably within the petrochemical industry.
- Strong background in industrial real estate and tenant acquisition, highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and closing new business opportunities.
- Hybrid/Remote schedule based out of the US Gulf South area and will require an estimated 30-40% travel
