Offshore GoM Reservoir Engineering Advisor (4016)

Our client, a Houston based, respected domestic and international oil and gas operating company is seeking a seasoned and energetic Reservoir Engineer with 20+ years of experience in helping strategically, safely and economically develop their vast offshore Gulf of Mexico deepwater portfolio.  Will be an advisor level role and  key member of their development team working with drilling/completions/production operations, geologic and reservoir professionals to help develop near and in field opportunities along with working with and advising the exploration team.  This position will have the fun opportunity of mentoring/guiding lesser experienced engineers and offers a wide variety of scope including, well planning, portfolio analysis/planning, helping assist troubleshooting underperforming wells, generate SEC reserve reporting data and compose and update reservoir models.The client has been successful in both developing fields from exploration/drill bit along with strategic asset acquisitions.

Keys/Qualifications for success in the role include:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • 20+ years of progressive career experience in reservoir engineering with 15+ in offshore GoM and at least 5 years in GoM deepwater-recent experience
  • Experience in classic reservoir engineering tool box, i.e. PVT, PTA analyses, material balance
  • Proficient in network modeling, reservoir simulation, economic assessments, field development studies/plans and exposure to exploration support
  • Preferred software experience include PTA/Kappa, PVT Sim, ValNav, tNavigator/Eclipse or similar
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Residency status is required
