Our client, a stable and growing chemical manufacturer is seeking a mid to senior level process engineer to join their newly formed Process Technology Excellence Team which has been charged to take a fresh look at all of the process units/their operations to identify near and long term opportunities to improve their process units in terms of safety, yield, economics and market optimization.

This will be a fun ChemE position in that the review and recommendations will be from a clean slate mindset with a lean corporate organization hungry for new perspectives and suggestions.  Emphasis in this role is in developing EVOP studies including lab and commercial scale reactions utilizing fluidized bed reactors.  Will also be a key member in mentoring less experienced staff as well

Requirements for success include:

• BS in Chemical Engineering (MS Preferred)
• 10+ years with chemical plant or refining on site experience in process engineering
• Fluidized bed reactor required along with distillation column process experience
• Expert user in Aspen HYSYS software
• Experience with Advanced Process control applications - prefer DeltaV and PI Historian
• Inquisitive mindset-won't settle for status quo operating methods
• Experience in use of statistical processes in mining and evaluation optimization opportunities including experience in using Statgraphics or similar statistical analysis software
• Ammonia based chemical manufacturing exp. highly desired
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required
