Our client is a privately held construction services company that specializes in turnkey solutions for powerline, pipeline, site access and clearing projects. The firm is directed by a team of exceptional leaders who lead by example in a culture of entrepreneurship underpinned by key core values. With an ambitious strategic plan to expand the company’s scale, capabilities, and client base there is an immediate need to add a Vice President of Sales. This position reports to the President, will be a key addition to the senior leadership team, and will likely have extensive knowledge/experience with an established contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct & lead all external sales efforts including strategy, market scope, client relationships
- Develop & document annual sales projections, growth opportunities & quotas by service line
- Work closely w/ senior leadership to develop, build out firm’s social media/marketing strategy
- Develop and execute internal management reporting system to track key sales metrics/results
- Work closely w/ Accounting & Operations to align with sales forecasts & project timing
- Support & optimize company CRM software to align with accounting system
- Constantly work to identify sales growth opportunities to expand client base and build long-term, durable customer relations
- Lead & manage a team of experienced account managers to ensure alignment w/ company sales forecasts/objectives
- Highly capable of building out sales/marketing initiatives/programs, & making customer relations a priority to drive top line revenue growth
- Continually identify & secure as needed superior sales/marketing employees for the organization
Experience & Qualifications:
- BS degree required (marketing, finance, business management, etc.)
- MBA desired
- High energy/enthusiasm to strategically grow sales & have positive impact on people & clients
- 7+ yrs in sales/business development w/ construction service contractor (powerline, pipeline, site access & clearing)
- Embracement of business social media marketing tools/campaigns/analytics
- Proven & polished communicator at all levels
- Servant leader capable of strategic thinking & humble to dig into details
- Able to travel ~ 25% w/ balance in office
- Strong core value system to align w/ company culture, mission, & leadership
