Our Client is looking for several experienced Mechanical Project Engineers to join their Portsmouth, NH design team. 

The ideal candidate has a minimum of  7-10 years experience in design of cryogenic, natural gas, petrochemical, oil, or power systems.  If you have previous work specifying pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, heaters, coolers, boilers, or pressure vessels then this is the opportunity for you.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering; PE preferred
  • Hands-on experience in the field/at sites highly preferred

Specific Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and co-workers
  • Site or field experience installing, operating, or troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to set priorities, to be self-disciplined and consistent
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and MS Project
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and co-workers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for developing, designing and managing all mechanical aspects of LNG projects including liquefaction, storage, truck transfer, and vaporization of LNG

Weekly reporting to individual project managers on project status, budget, and schedule

 Authoring design, procurement, and operations specifications for equipment and systems

Field commissioning and troubleshooting of LNG plant startup and operations

Systematic analysis of piping stress, pressure vessel nozzles, vapor dispersions, and thermal radiation

Reviewing calculations, equipment specifications, requisitions and drawings

Maintain technical proficiency and code expertise in the LNG field (49CFR193, NFPA 59A, ASME B31.3, BPVC Section VIII)

Develop cost estimates and proposals in response to client requests

Development of drawings for fabrication and construction of plant piping and equipment systems.This may include interdisciplinary work with civil, electrical, process, and controls project groups to optimize design

Travel to sites approximately 10% of the time
