A global key Optimus client is looking for a Crude Settlements Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day volume actualizations and general accounting processes for the marketing businesses in the US. This role involves leading a team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and collaborating with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee volume actualizations and settlements for crude marine activities.
- Ensure timely reconciliation and payment of invoices.
- Assist in resolving volume discrepancies.
- Review and improve cash forecasts.
- Provide variance explanations to treasury.
- Assist with aged receivables and payables.
- Collaborate on balance sheet and income statement analysis.
- Perform month-end closing procedures and submit timely reports.
- Analyze inventory and explain variances.
- Support front office, mid office, credit, and treasury teams.
- Review and approve account reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journal entries per GAAP.
- Create metrics for team accountability.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Assist with system implementation and audit requests.
- Foster a strong team culture and encourage cross-training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 10+ years in the Energy Marketing industry and 5+ years as a Volume Actualizations or Settlements Supervisor.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
- Experience with trading systems; Allegro is a plus.
