We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Settlements Analyst to join our growing natural gas team. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end settlement processes related to physical and financial natural gas transactions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commodity trade lifecycle management, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with trading, scheduling, accounting, and risk teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and settle physical and financial natural gas transactions across various pipelines and counterparties
• Ensure accurate and timely settlement of daily, monthly, and intra-month trades
• Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies related to volume, price, fees, and contractual terms
• Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure alignment across the trade lifecycle
• Maintain and audit trade data in the ETRM system and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Prepare and distribute settlement reports, aging reports, and payment schedules
• Interface with external counterparties to manage payment inquiries and dispute resolution
• Support audit and regulatory requests related to settlements and transaction history
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Energy Management, or a related field
• 4–7 years of experience in energy commodity settlements, preferably natural gas
• Strong working knowledge of physical gas markets and pipeline transportation systems
• Familiarity with ETRM platforms (e.g., Endur, Allegro, RightAngle)
• Solid understanding of trade confirmations, pricing, and scheduling impacts on settlements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general data management tools
