Our client is seeking a Project Manager with experience in building and developing large-scale construction assets across renewable energy, data centers, land development, and infrastructure projects. This role will lead project execution from planning through completion, ensuring delivery that is safe, on-time, on-budget, and aligned with regulatory and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of construction projects related to energy infrastructure—including utility-scale solar, wind, battery storage, substations, data centers, and land infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, legal, finance) and external stakeholders (contractors, regulatory agencies, and landowners).
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, procurement schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive performance and accountability among general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, permitting, and quality control standards.
- Lead field execution strategies, site meetings, progress tracking, and change order management.
- Deliver regular status updates to leadership and identify opportunities for cost or schedule optimization.
- Support contract negotiation, RFP processes, and development of scopes of work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in building complex capital projects involving land development, renewable assets, or data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with permitting processes, local/state/federal regulations, and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera, Smartsheet).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Experience with utility interconnections, grid infrastructure, and EPC contract management.
- Background in renewable energy or energy transition projects highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different geographies.
- Willingness to travel to active construction sites as needed.
