We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our back-office operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in settlements accounting and derivative accounting, with a strong understanding of how mark-to-market (MtM) processes translate to financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee settlements accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Manage derivative accounting activities, including booking MtM transactions and understanding their impact on financial reporting.
• Supervise a remote team of 6 accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
• Act as a polished and client-facing representative of the accounting team, fostering collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
• Utilize strong leadership and coaching skills to develop team members and foster a positive work environment.
• Familiarity with Endur software is desirable.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on settlements and derivatives.
• Strong knowledge of natural gas accounting; experience with power accounting is preferred.
• Proven management experience, including remote team leadership and the ability to oversee multiple locations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with Endur software is a plus.
