A key Optimus client, a growth-focused energy trading and logistics firm where every role directly supports operational excellence and commercial success is looking for a Senior Natural Gas Scheduler who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the ins and outs of midstream logistics, and can manage complex nominations and pipeline activity with precision. You’ll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in the business—traders, analysts, and risk managers—making sure every molecule of gas is accounted for and optimized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the natural gas nomination process from end to end—think daily pipeline scheduling, confirming volumes, and resolving imbalances
• Build strong relationships with midstream gathering companies to ensure smooth physical flow and financial accuracy
• Review and reconcile monthly gathering invoices, ensuring contract alignment and issue resolution
• Monitor gathering system imbalances and manage cash-out payments with speed and accuracy
• Deliver allocation data to internal teams, and support trading and risk with real-time insights
• Be a key player in a remote rotational weekend/holiday coverage schedule (we all pitch in!)

Skills/Experience:

• 4–9 years of relevant experience in gas scheduling, midstream, or trading operations
• Deep knowledge of pipeline tariffs, nomination platforms, and electronic bulletin boards (EBBs)
• Familiarity with commodity markets, pricing, and gas contract structures
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools are a plus
• Excellent communication skills—you’re comfortable calling counterparts to solve issues in real time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
