Our client is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic project team focusing on diverse aspects of the Power and Retail industry. As a crucial team member, you will leverage your expertise in Power trading, risk management, and scheduling process to facilitate the changing needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to collect and document comprehensive business requirements in alignment with technology, business strategy, and goals.
- Develop and articulate functional specifications to guide the configuration of solutions.
- Analyze data related to ISO Connectivity processes to ensure the proper functioning of solutions and alignment with expectations.
- Act as a liaison between project team members and various stakeholders to ensure requirements meet business needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Power and Retail portfolio.
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and relevant business units.
- Develop a deep understanding and proficiency with selected system solutions.
- Assist in the development of test cases and collaborate with users to perform user acceptance testing.
- Provide ongoing support through training, implementation, and early life support of solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of direct functional and technical experience in supporting Commodity Trading and Risk Management systems (CTRM) and Scheduling systems.
- Functional understanding of North American Energy trading end-to-end business processes.
- Strong understanding of North American ISO Markets with an emphasis on Power Scheduling and ISO Connectivity.
- Strong knowledge of ISO Scheduling Systems (e.g., nMarket, PowerOptix, Adapt2, OATI) or similar products.
- Experience with Agile project management principles and Azure DevOps (ADO) in the full software lifecycle.
- Exposure to Power ETRM systems (e.g., Epsilon, ENDUR, Allegro) and AWS Cloud is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong team working skills with high self-motivation and delivery focus.
