Our key client is seeking a Renewable Energy Development Lead to support its mission of powering data center operations through clean, reliable energy. This role will focus on identifying and advancing renewable energy projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic energy procurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess renewable energy opportunities (solar, wind, hydro, storage) aligned with data center growth.
• Lead or support project development activities, including site selection, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with utilities, developers, and internal teams to optimize procurement strategies.
• Evaluate market trends, infrastructure, and utility tariffs to support project planning and financial modeling.
• Lead negotiations and close renewable energy deals, including PPAs and related contracts.
• Set and monitor KPIs related to contracted capacity and operational MWs.
• Travel up to 30% as needed to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing renewable energy projects from concept to execution.
• Deep understanding of energy markets, permitting, and regulatory environments.
• Success in negotiating and closing renewable energy deals.
• Strong knowledge of utility tariffs and ability to apply insights to financial models.
• Commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
