Commercial Technology Support Leader

Job Summary:

As the Commercial Technology Support Leader, you will oversee the ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management)/Commercial technology support team, ensuring seamless operations and proactive engagement with the business, change management, and release management processes. While specific knowledge of Endur is beneficial, it is not mandatory; however, familiarity with trade floor operations, ETRM systems, and the trade lifecycle is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the ETRM/Commercial technology support team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives.
  • Proactively engage with the business to anticipate and address technology support requirements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Oversee change management processes related to ETRM systems, ensuring effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders.
  • Lead release management activities, including planning, testing, and deployment of system updates and enhancements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on trade floor operations, ETRM systems, and the trade lifecycle, providing guidance and support to the team as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and access to necessary expertise.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in ETRM technology support, leveraging knowledge to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure integration and alignment of technology solutions across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing technology support teams, preferably in the ETRM or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of trade floor operations, ETRM systems, and the trade lifecycle.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with change management and release management processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
