A key Optimus client is currently seeking Product Owners across logistics, automotive, B2B, Insurance, fleet, trucking, etc to join their team located here in Houston! We are looking for strong ML and AI experience in these industries. This is a permanent role located onsite and in the office 4 days a week. Job Summary:

As a Product Owner within our esteemed Data & Analytics organization, you will spearhead innovation and directly influence business outcomes. This pivotal role entails steering the development of data and analytic solutions across our clients’ spectrum of companies. As the Product Owner, you will champion the product development process, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including data analysts, scientists, engineers, and stakeholders. Your mission is to define and prioritize product features, shepherd the product development lifecycle, and propel the product to success.

Essential Functions:

• Provide technical leadership and oversee a team dedicated to data and analytic product development, including defining roadmaps, prioritizing feature development, and ensuring successful product launches.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, offering innovative solutions to business challenges leveraging data & analytics.
• Collaborate with Business Product Owners to translate the business vision into a technical product strategy and design.
• Manage the product backlog in conjunction with Business Product Owners, prioritizing features based on business needs, technology requirements, and technical feasibility.
• Craft detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, fostering a shared understanding within the team.
• Partner with the Scrum Master and development team to plan and prioritize releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality product increments.
• Liaise with the data and analytics development team to oversee the delivery process, ensuring adherence to requirements and user stories.
• Define user acceptance criteria and testing procedures, alongside technical teams, to ensure product quality.
• Coordinate the technical roll-out of the product, collaborating with IT, business, and support teams.
• Translate technical details into easily understandable updates for non-technical stakeholders, supporting communication efforts.
• Define and monitor product performance metrics, incorporating user feedback for continuous enhancement.
• Organize and lead collaboration meetings, process implementations, and status reporting, supporting resource and budget management.
• Hold shared accountability with Business Product Owners for product performance and business outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years' experience in data and analytic software development projects.
• 3+ years' experience in roles such as Product Owner, Product Manager, Solutions Architect, Business Systems Analyst, or similar, within analytics/AI product development in a technology-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Agile and hybrid development environments.
• Hands-on experience with data and analytics technologies including SQL, AWS Cloud-based Architecture for AI/ML, PySpark, Python, Machine Learning, and/or analytics technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of making data-driven decisions and adapting product strategies based on performance and market trends.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with varied work demands.
