We’re seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to support daily trading operations of Crude and Refined Products. This role focuses on P&L accuracy, position reconciliation, and process automation, working closely with traders, operations, and finance teams. This role is located in Houston and is in the office 4 days/week. Client does not sponsor and will not provide relocation.

What You’ll Do:

• Validate daily P&L and investigate drivers behind performance variances.
• Reconcile trading positions and resolve data discrepancies across systems.
• Review market data and pricing inputs to support exposure and valuation accuracy.
• Build and enhance tools to automate reporting and reduce manual processes.

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–7 years of experience in energy trading, product control, or a similar role.
• At least 2 years of Crude and Refined Products physical markets experience required.
• Strong skills in Excel (macros/pivots), Python, and/or SQL for data analysis required.
• A detail-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a trading environment.
