Sr Software Developer - Integration/Automation

A key Optimus client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automation and integration solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting business growth. This role involves close collaboration across technical and non-technical teams to transform complex requirements into effective technology outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and implement automation, integration, and AI-powered solutions to enhance internal processes and system interoperability.
  • Design, build, and maintain automation tools and frameworks that optimize workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase scalability.
  • Partner with diverse teams, both technical and non-technical, to collect requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and support innovation initiatives.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and thorough documentation to ensure quality, reliability, and security of solutions.
  • Identify and address technical issues, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience delivering IT solutions across cross-functional teams. Required
  • 2+ years of experience managing full software development lifecycles, from concept through deployment.
  • Proficient in any programming languages (Python and .NET preferred).
  • Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SNS, SQS) and desire to learn AWS technologies.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs, web services, and data integration methods.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and related tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, Infrastructure as Code).
  • Understanding the “why” of your work, not just the execution of it.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences (i.e. internal stakeholder management)
  • Enthusiasm for cross-team collaboration and mentorship.
  • A proactive mindset, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Professional certifications related to cloud technologies (e.g., cloud architect or developer certifications) are a plus.
