A key Optimus client is looking for an experienced, self-starter to join their Risk Management Team. This Sr Analyst will oversee risk control and reporting for growing commodity marketing activities across the company.

Responsibilities include:

• supporting the ETRM implementation (Allegro)
• managing market data inputs
• confirming/validating the trades
• monitoring compliance with risk policies
• supporting management decision-making with accurate information around marketing performance and company-wide exposures.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields)
• 5+ years of experience in commodities risk management with a crude oil / liquids focus
• Experience with MTM, position limits, V@R, etc.
• Proficient with Allegro or a similar ETRM
• Prior ETRM implementation experience
• Ability to articulate complex quantitative concepts to various stakeholders
• Ability to build strong rapport while maintaining independence
• Ability to work across and communicate throughout the organization
• Understanding accruals vs. MTM values
• Strong initiative and drive to support new marketing activities plus ETRM implementation of substantial existing business(es)
