Our client is seeking a skilled GIS Consultant to lead the implementation and provide ongoing maintenance support for ArcGIS software under an Esri contract. This is a 3+ month consulting engagement, ideal for a professional with strong hands-on experience in ArcGIS Enterprise and Desktop solutions, system integrations, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the deployment and configuration of ArcGIS tools, services, and applications.
- Ensure successful implementation aligned with Esri licensing and architecture best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design workflows, and provide GIS solutions.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ArcGIS environments (Enterprise, Online, Pro, Server).
- Provide end-user support, documentation, and training to internal teams.
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve functionality and user experience.
- Assist with data migration, geodatabase design, and integration with third-party systems.
- Act as liaison with Esri support as needed for issue resolution and license compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a GIS Consultant, Analyst, or Specialist with a focus on ArcGIS products.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, and associated tools.
- Experience in deploying or upgrading Esri solutions in production environments.
- Knowledge of GIS data models, spatial analysis, and geodatabase management.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, ModelBuilder) and data automation in GIS.
- Esri certification (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop Professional or Enterprise Administration Associate).
- Experience supporting GIS systems within the energy, environmental, or utilities sector.
- Familiarity with Web GIS architecture, APIs, and integration into enterprise systems.
