Job Position: Chief Tech & Product Officer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on CTO/CPO to join our exciting Healthcare startup. The Chief Tech & Product Officer is a critical member of the SleepArchitects leadership team, responsible for the overall strategic direction regarding our technology and software product including decisions on our technology stack such as defining and executing product roadmap improving our technology scalability, reliability, and user interface, build/buy/partnering, and managing our existing internal/external technology architecture, platforms and applications. You will be a primary creator in this exciting new field of dental sleep medicine and make a positive impact on peoples’ lives. The position requires a player-coach mentality who can execute high-level strategic and critical thinking as well as individually program/code and manage the basics of daily internal user technical needs with a sense of urgency and responsiveness. The candidate must have a deep, hands-on design and software engineering background with the ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge. This is primarily a remote, home office based position.

SleepArchitects is the industry’s first digital workflow technology and services solution that enables dental practitioners to treat patients for obstructive sleep apnea with sophisticated simplicity and high quality medically-integrated care. Our goal is to become the go-to Care Convergence platform that integrates therapies involving medical and dental systems.


Education, Knowledge, Skills and Qualification Requirements
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Any industry recognized qualifications or Masters Degree are highly advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years’ of strong hands-on software development background in designing, building and
deploying systems.
• Required: Experience working in startup environments (<15 people), created/managed HIPAA-
compliant technology environments, willing to do coding/programming on an individual contributor
basis and proficient with PHP.
• Preferred: Experience with Zoho products and osTicket application.
• Demonstrable knowledge of applying software engineering best practices (coding practices, unit
testing, version control, code review).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and external suppliers to establish
requirements in non-technical language.
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders to align technology with business goals.
• Office product suites: ZohoOne (CRM, email, calendar, shared drives, Creator Apps, Forms)
• Proficiency in Web Technologies: Expertise in the following programming languages, frameworks, and
web hosting tools - (HTML, CSS, Javascript , PHP, Python, React, Node.js, Linux, Apache, GoDaddy.)
• Experience working with CI/CD – Gitlab, Github or equivalent.
• Cloud/SaaS: Experience building, deploying, managing solutions to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Database Management: Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and designing scalable
architectures, managing databases and redundancy/backup processes.
• API Development and Integration: Experience with creating and working with APIs, integrating data
from multiple sources.
• Product Lifecycle: Ability to clearly conceptualize a product vision and lifecycle to accommodate future
iterations to products.
• Responsive Design: Knowledge of designing systems that work seamlessly across platforms, web
browsers, potentially mobile devices and ensuring mobile app readiness.
• Security Awareness: Experience designing and managing HIPAA-compliant technology environments
as well as general web security principles, such as data encryption, secure authentication, ssl
certificates, vulnerability management and site permissioning.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Oversee all aspects of technology within the company.
• Strategic decision-making on all technology and thought-partner for CEO and investors
• Lead the design, development and execution of Sleep Architects IT systems, both internal and client
facing including product roadmap for improvements in scalability, user interface, functionality,
reliability.
• Individually maintain existing external technology product in all aspects including code fixes, access,
functionality, backups and security (Zoho Creator apps, PHP application)
• Individually managing all aspects of daily technical needs of existing internal technical environment
including access, functionality, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
(ZohoOne suite: email, calendar, forms/reports, CRM, shared drives)
• Develop and implement disaster recovery, business continuity and IT security failure plans.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation of current technical architecture and changes as they
are made.
• Develop company’s technology and product development protocols and SOPs including
documentation of all IT systems, dataflows, business logic.
• Manage strategic relationships with vendors and technology partners.
