Your Role as Project Manager/Estimator

As a Project Manager/Estimator, you’ll oversee the entire project lifecycle, from securing new business to managing on-site execution. Responsibilities include:

  • Business Development: Actively pursue new opportunities within the construction industry, leveraging your network and marketing support.
  • Estimating and Bidding: Prepare accurate bids for projects, ensuring compliance with ADA regulations and achieving profitability goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and on-site execution for projects lasting 1-10 days.
  • Site Visits: Collaborate with foremen and crews to kick off projects and ensure successful completion.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Work: Use Microsoft Word and Excel to manage bids, project reports, and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Experience and Expertise

  • Proven experience in estimating, bidding, and managing asphalt and concrete paving projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA compliance related to asphalt and concrete work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for managing bids and project documentation.
  • Strong understanding of asphalt maintenance, seal coatings, and paving projects.
  • Must live within commuting distance of San Jose, CA, and be available for in-office and on-site work as needed.
  • Proactive: Thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in all aspects of project management.
  • Relationship Builder: Skilled at maintaining strong connections in the construction industry.
  • Organized: Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Base Salary: $100K annually, with total earnings of $135K-$150K based on performance.
  • Schedule: Flexible hybrid role, including attendance at company meetings and job site visits.
