This Foreman - Rebar position is a critical role within our client’s manufacturing operations, directly reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. You will be at the forefront of managing rebar operations, ensuring projects are executed with the highest level of precision and quality. Responsibilities:

  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the rebar team, including foreman assistants and general laborers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Precision Work: Ensure rebar is bent and prepared according to precise customer specifications.
  • Team Management: Delegate tasks, manage workflow, and ensure all safety standards are strictly adhered to, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to meet project deadlines and production goals.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and maintain equipment used in rebar processing, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
  • Training & Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to team members, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of experience in rebar work, with a strong background in a manufacturing setting. Prior experience as a Foreman in the construction industry, particularly with notable concrete/pre-casting companies, is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with union work is beneficial, as our client is associated with local 185.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of the tools and machinery typically used in rebar operations.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work long hours, often between 40 to 72 hours per week, typically six days a week. This is an hourly role with extensive overtime and double-time opportunities.
