Architectural Drafter – ParkerBeth Search Partners

Are you a seasoned drafter with a passion for high-impact design and an eye for detail? ParkerBeth is hiring on behalf of a well-respected Sacramento-based architectural firm specializing in healthcare, institutional, and university projects. This opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is ready to contribute to meaningful work from day one.

About the Role

As an Architectural Drafter, you’ll be responsible for supporting multiple active projects using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. You won’t be siloed — instead, you’ll rotate between team leads, providing critical technical support across all phases of design. From document preparation and vendor coordination to team meetings and QA/QC reviews, your work will help keep projects moving with precision.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the flexibility to work remotely once trained. During the initial 1–3 months, you’ll work onsite daily at a Sacramento co-working space to complete onboarding and integrate into the team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Draft and update construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Attend design meetings and document follow-ups
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate closely with principal architects who manage each project

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of architectural drafting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Clear and confident English communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare, commercial, or institutional architecture preferred
  • Self-starter who works well independently after receiving direction

Benefits, Perks & Culture

  • Salary starting at $75,000 - $90,000 annually DOE
  • Employee-owned firm with a clear path to ownership
  • Fully covered medical, dental, and vision starting the first of the month after hire
  • 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution — no match required
  • Paid memberships for AIA and other professional orgs
  • Ongoing training, certifications, and CE support
  • Bi-weekly in-person lunches to stay connected as a team

Career Growth

This isn’t a dead-end drafting job. You’ll have visibility into multiple projects, daily interaction with principals, and the opportunity to grow into a project management role — with a long-term path to firm ownership if you pursue licensure.

Ready to make an impact and grow your career in a collaborative, design-driven firm?
