What You’ll Do:

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and ensuring the structural integrity of various projects. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for complex structural calculations, ensuring that all designs meet stringent national standards like IRC, IBC, and ASCE-7. This is an opportunity to take ownership of your projects, solve challenging engineering problems, and contribute to the success of commercial and residential developments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing structural components for a wide range of commercial and residential projects.
  • Performing structural calculations for wood, steel, and reinforced concrete elements, including slabs, footings, and retaining walls.
  • Ensuring compliance with national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC.
  • Resolving design and project issues, while providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, applying innovative engineering techniques.
  • Working autonomously while also collaborating with architects, project managers, and other engineers.

Key Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • State of Texas PE License: Candidates must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • 7+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 7 years of structural engineering experience, particularly in both commercial and residential projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office Suite: These tools are essential for creating and reviewing structural designs.
  • Strong Knowledge of Design Codes: Proficiency in national design codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering: A minimum educational qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is necessary.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000, based on experience and qualifications.
