About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the production line and office management. You will be responsible for leading a team of 20, ensuring efficient processes, and driving continuous improvement. The manager will be responsible for running all office operations and HR issues. This is a critical role in maintaining commitment to delivering high-quality business products. This is not in a Manufacturing environment. It is an assembly process in a corporate office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Line Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production lines, ensuring optimal efficiency, productivity, and quality. Monitor production schedules, adjust workflows as needed, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of approximately 20 employees. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promote teamwork, and ensure effective communication across all levels.
- Office Management: Ordering office supplies, setting the tone of the office, planning office events to keep employee morale high, and anything else that is required to keep the office running smoothly.
- Talent Management: Drive all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:
- Hiring: Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates to meet staffing needs.
- Training: Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address performance issues as needed.
- Disciplinary Actions: Administer disciplinary actions, including terminations, following company policies and procedures.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity within the distribution center. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards. Implement and maintain quality control procedures, monitor product quality, and address any quality issues that may arise.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the operations budget, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role in a distribution center or manufacturing environment, with direct responsibility for production lines.
- Proven experience managing a team of 5 or more employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of production line operations, process optimization, and quality control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
