Senior Real Estate Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC

Hybrid - In office 3 days

This Analyst will be focusing on the critical land acquisition and management aspects of large scale utility - renewable energy projects. Analyst will be instrumental in securing the necessary real property rights and resolving complex title matters to ensure the successful development and construction of our solar, wind, and energy storage initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the real estate process for renewable energy projects, from initial research to final closing.
  • Analyze complex real property agreements, title reports, surveys, and existing land rights to identify and mitigate potential risks or encumbrances that could impact project development.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including developers, project managers, engineers, and legal teams, providing expert real estate guidance throughout all project phases.
  • Manage vendor relationships for services such as real estate acquisition, title examination, land surveying, and document recording.
  • Oversee title review and curative efforts, ensuring all title issues are resolved efficiently to support project timelines and investor financing requirements (e.g., tax equity, debt financing).
  • Facilitate smooth title closing processes, ensuring alignment with overall project schedules.
  • Maintain and continuously improve our processes and procedures for all real estate management activities.
  • Utilize your familiarity with public land records and real estate research to support project needs.


Quilifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field, along with three (3) or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED combined with seven (7) or more years of directly related work experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience working on complex real estate projects, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of solar, wind, and energy storage leases and easements.
  • Proficiency in mineral title analysis and curative processes.
  • Knowledge of surveying and land engineering, including familiarity with GIS systems and tools.
  • Experience with utility infrastructure, including generation and transmission systems.
  • Demonstrated environmental awareness, including knowledge of due diligence basics and public requirements for projects.
  • Prior experience as a land agent or working with real estate internal and external counsel.
  • A real estate professional designation (e.g., IRWA) is a plus.
