INDUSTRY: Oilfield Services – Hydrovac, Hydrotesting, Torque Testing

LOCATION: Midland, TX

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and oversee field operations, with a strong focus on Hydrovac, Hydrotesting, and Torque Testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-pressure testing and equipment maintenance, coupled with proven leadership in managing small, high-performing field teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate 4 rigs across daily operations.
• Manage 3 field crews (2 people per crew – 6 total) to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Perform and oversee Hydrovac Testing, Hydrotesting, and Torque Testing.
• Ensure all high-pressure testing is done safely and equipment is well-maintained.
• Provide field leadership, coaching, and support to crew members.
• Report directly to senior management with operational updates.
• Maintain and enforce safety procedures and job site protocols.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and provide quick, practical solutions.
• Help improve workflows and optimize resource allocation.
• Support new hire training and onboarding as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Hydrovac, Hydrotesting, and Torque Testing is a must.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with high-pressure equipment.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in field operations preferred.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Midland, TX.
• Certifications are not required – we will provide training and support.
• Bilingual Spanish is not required.
