CONTEXT: We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Low Voltage Technician Assistant to join our team as Low Voltage Technician Assistants. No prior low voltage experience is required, though it is beneficial. This entry-level position provides the opportunity to learn a new trade in the growing low voltage industry, with hands-on training and mentorship. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist technicians with the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, including cable and wiring.
- Perform general labor tasks such as cable pulling, routing, and organizing tools and equipment.
- Follow instructions and directions provided by lead technicians to ensure efficient and accurate work.
- Help with the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Use basic hand tools to support installation and maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality to ensure smooth project completion.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure understanding of job duties and priorities.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Participate in on-the-job training to gain technical knowledge and skills in low voltage systems.
- Ensure safety standards are followed at all times while on job sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No prior low voltage experience is required, but it is beneficial.
- Strong desire to learn a new trade and grow within the industry.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to use basic hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and pliers.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials safely.
- Willingness to work in various environments (indoor and outdoor) and at varying heights.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with basic hand tools or in construction-related work (a plus, but not required).
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
