LOCATION: 2 positions - West Texas (Midland/Odessa area) and New Mexico (Jal/Eunice area).

CONTEXT:  The Bilingual Water Transfer Field Supervisor will oversee water transfer operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication in both English and Spanish, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise Operations: Oversee daily water transfer operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of water resources while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor field staff, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork. Foster communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Bilingual Communication: Facilitate clear communication between English and Spanish speaking team members and stakeholders. Assist in translating documents and safety briefings as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety and operational protocols to reduce risks and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of water transfer activities, equipment usage, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly as they arise. Collaborate with other departments to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics for equipment and resources related to water transfer activities, ensuring availability and readiness for operations.
  • Community Engagement: Engage with local communities and regulatory agencies to address concerns and promote stakeholder relations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising water transfer operations. 
  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of water transfer systems, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in water management or safety are a plus (e.g., HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR).
