LOCATION: Midland, TX

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an experienced Service Manager to oversee the operations of their service shop. This role involves leading a team of technicians, managing equipment and inventory, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily operations of the service shop.
• Recruit, train, and manage technicians and administrative staff.
• Develop and implement SOPs for efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure safety compliance in all activities.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and maintenance.
• Collaborate with sales and procurement to forecast equipment needs.
• Address customer requirements and ensure satisfaction.
• Manage costs, budgets, and expenses related to service operations.
• Conduct reports on service performance and inventory.
• Handle team conflicts effectively and provide strong leadership.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience managing a service shop or maintenance facility, ideally in oil and gas.
• Prior experience as a mechanic and in management roles.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas equipment (pumps, compressors, generators, etc.).
• Proficient in using computer software and systems for inventory management and maintenance tracking.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
• Preferred: Certification in diesel mechanics or similar.
