LOCATION: Lubbock, TX

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Product Support Specialist to join their team in Lubbock, TX. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role focused on product support and development for prime power natural gas generators serving the Oil & Gas industry, as well as diesel rental packages and electrical distribution panels. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, well-versed in equipment, and capable of providing technical support to both customers and manufacturing teams. This role will serve as a key link between field operations and engineering, identifying trends, managing warranty claims, and contributing to product improvement and development. Travel to customer and production sites across TX, NM, MI, and LA is required approximately one week per month.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for generator systems and control panels in the field.
  • Act as a key liaison between engineering, production, and customers; report issues and suggest improvements.
  • Manage warranty claims and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
  • Deliver on-site and remote customer training on unit operation and maintenance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, and service logs.
  • Track and analyze technical calls and field data to identify recurring issues or improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in product development, including prototyping and testing new designs.
  • Support production facilities with operational troubleshooting and service feedback.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company’s values in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous hands-on experience with power generators, engines, or compressor systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Familiarity with controller platforms (Basler, Deep Sea, ComAP) and use of diagnostic tools.
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to use a multimeter and download engine files.
  • Experience working in field service, customer support, or equipment maintenance roles.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to operate independently.
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience in the compressor or automotive technician industries is highly applicable.
  • NASO certification is a plus, but not required.
