CONTEXT: Our client, a midstream water services company, is searching for an experienced, BILINGUAL, and reliable HSE Representative to monitor and reinforce the proper health, safety, and environmental conditions for field services and water transfer operations. The ideal candidate will have a balance of knowledge and experience within environmental, health, and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide HSE leadership, training, and operational support to all levels of the organization and across functional groups.
  • Assist in the preparation of regulatory agency submissions including OHSA 300 logs and reports, other OSHA requirements on operations, and applicable US EPA, NM and TX environmental requirements including notifications and reports.
  • Provide hazardous material/right to know training and SDS management.
  • Maintain, control, and inventory IDLH PPE and equipment. Train field workers (potential operators) to qualify for licensing.
  • Administer field tests to employees (i.e. extend-a-boom fork truck aerial work platform).
  • Ensure that regulated tools and equipment are currently inspected and in good order.
  • Ensure company and employee compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ensure emergency response systems, policies and procedures are in place to manage emergency situations.
  • Investigate accidents and prepare accident reports.
  • Work as a liaison with client representatives, site safety teams, company personnel to achieve site and project safety goals.
  • Assist management with preparation of safety and health budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or equivalent science degree.
  • 3+ years of HSE experience with a midstream water services company.
  • Experience creating and managing a budget including resource allocation and priority setting.
  • Track record of successful leadership and hands-on direction of HSE issues.
  • Experience taking on HSE leadership role during the construction phase of facilities.
  • Experience coordinating and implementing training programs.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently as needed to field locations.
