CONTEXT: We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Low Voltage Technician Assistant to join our team. No prior low voltage experience is required, though it is beneficial. This entry-level position provides the opportunity to learn a new trade in the growing low voltage industry, with hands-on training and mentorship. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist technicians with the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems, including cable and wiring.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as cable pulling, routing, and organizing tools and equipment.
  • Follow instructions and directions provided by lead technicians to ensure efficient and accurate work.
  • Help with the setup and cleanup of job sites, maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Use basic hand tools to support installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrate reliability and punctuality to ensure smooth project completion.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure understanding of job duties and priorities.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training to gain technical knowledge and skills in low voltage systems.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed at all times while on job sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • No prior low voltage experience is required, but it is beneficial.
  • Strong desire to learn a new trade and grow within the industry.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and materials safely.
  • Willingness to work in various environments (indoor and outdoor) and at varying heights.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with basic hand tools or in construction-related work (a plus, but not required).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
