LOCATION: Midland, TX

CONTEXT: Our client, a fast-growing Oil & Gas equipment rental company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a fleet of vehicles and equipment, with a primary focus on hydrovac trucks (Peterbilt and Freightliner), flatbeds, trash trailers, and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance and be comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on hydrovac trucks (Peterbilt & Freightliner).
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
Inspect and service flatbeds, trash trailers, and other commercial trailers.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
Ensure all repairs meet safety and DOT compliance standards.
Respond to emergency roadside service calls as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel or heavy-duty mechanic.
In-depth knowledge of Freightliner and Peterbilt hydrovac truck systems preferred.
Experience with trailer maintenance and repair, including trash trailers and flatbeds.
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance protocols.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment (up to 75 lbs).
Own tools required for job duties.
