LOCATION: Flexible — Preferred location between San Antonio and New Mexico (covering Texas, New Mexico, and surrounding oil & gas regions; frequent travel to the Permian Basin required)

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to drive revenue growth across its expanding power generation portfolio. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a high-potential, quality-driven company at a pivotal moment as they scale their presence in the oil & gas sector.

You’ll report directly to executive leadership and play a critical role in selling large natural gas generators, with plans to expand into diesel generators and electrical distribution equipment. With a superior product offering — featuring quality components, no shortcuts, and industry-leading innovations — you’ll have the support of a product that sells itself, focusing on value over low price.

This role is best suited for a driven sales professional with strong oilfield connections who can penetrate the operator and rental markets and build strategic relationships from day one.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence across a multi-state territory.
  • Sell industrial power generation equipment to clients across the oil & gas sector and related industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle — including prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients, including operators, rental companies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the company with professionalism across diverse environments, from field operations to executive boardrooms.
  • Work closely with leadership to refine compensation structures and help shape long-term sales strategies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, emphasizing quality, durability, and superior engineering.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets while promoting a high-integrity, customer-first sales approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven sales experience in power generation, industrial equipment, or oilfield services.
  • Existing book of business or strong network in the oil & gas industry, particularly in Texas, New Mexico, and the Permian Basin.
  • Deep understanding of operator and rental company dynamics in the oilfield.
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with both field-level personnel and executive leadership.
  • Comfortable operating independently with a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Highly professional, adaptable, and resilient in a fast-evolving, quality-first environment.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Experience navigating evolving or performance-based compensation structures a plus.
  • Technical experience with power generation equipment is a bonus but not required — product expertise can be taught, but industry relationships are critical.
