LOCATION: Converse, LA (with potential travel to other locations)

CONTEXT: Our client is seeking an Operations Consultant/Trainer in Converse, LA to mentor and develop newly promoted supervisors while enhancing yard operations. This role focuses on coaching management skills, improving operational efficiency, and creating policies, procedures, and performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas operations and understanding of HR, with the ability to design and implement effective training programs and operational improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mentor and coach newly promoted supervisors to improve their leadership skills and management capabilities.
Develop and implement personalized training plans to strengthen decision-making, team management, and operational efficiency.
Evaluate and optimize yard operations, identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
Create policies, procedures, and performance metrics to structure operations and set clear performance goals.
Develop training materials and best practices to be applied to other yard locations as part of broader company initiatives.
Provide HR support to supervisors, guiding them in team management, conflict resolution, and creating a productive work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in oil and gas operations, with knowledge of yard management and safety protocols.
Proven experience in supervisory training and management development.
Strong understanding of HR practices, including leadership development, performance management, and employee relations.
Ability to create policies, procedures, and metrics that improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on developing teams and driving operational success.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience working with multiple branch/yard locations or overseeing operations in different environments.
Highly prefer someone with drilling operations experience.
