We are seeking a skilled scientist with expertise in antibody discovery, engineering, and characterization. This role will report to Senior Director of Antibody. This individual will play a critical role in identifying and optimizing therapeutic antibodies. The successful candidate will be primarily lab-based and will be a member of project teams; he/she may also interact with CRO partners and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and screen antibody libraries to identify or optimize antibodies with desired properties
• Characterize antibodies biophysically
• Work closely with Biology group to ensure fast advancement of programs
• Communicate/present data in group and project team meetings
• Document work in a timely fashion in electronic lab notebook

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• BS with 5+, MS with 3+ years of industry experience, or PhD in a closely related field. Title is commensurate with experience.
• Hands-on experience in yeast display and/or phage display required
• Experience in antibody affinity maturation, humanization, etc.
• Experience in antibody biophysical characterization methods such as ELISA, binding kinetics and binning by Octet/SPR, flow cytometry, DSF, etc.
• Experience with alternative antibody formats, such as single-domain or bi-specific antibody is desired
• Comprehensive knowledge in therapeutic antibody development
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance to design, execute, interpret, and troubleshoot experiments
• A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
