Industrial Project Manager - Remediation/Environmental Design

Our client has a new opening for an Industrial Project Manager to lead and manage multiple small to large consulting, investigation, remediation, design, and environmental design-build projects for multiple clients in Texas. This position is part of our Industrial Division, which serves Oil & Gas, Chemical, Food & Beverage, Metals & Mining, Utility, Manufacturing and other commercial clients.

As a member of this team, you would contribute to Company’s mission by:

-Managing multiple planning, consulting, design, and EPC projects related to industrial environmental investigation, remediation and restoration

Responsibilities will include:
-Performing technical problem solving
-Leading and managing multi-discipline teams
-Managing environmental policy, compliance and permitting in the State of TX
-Performing guidance and review at the project level while assuring discipline and quality standards are adhered to
-Assisting proposal teams and developing project approaches that lead to project wins
-Applying experience and innovation to solve problems of high complexity in area of expertise
-Effectively working with lead practitioners, quality managers, and key technical specialists
-Preparing and monitoring project budgets and schedules in conjunction with assisting in negotiation of contracts and amendments
-Identifying opportunities with existing clients, particularly by expanding service offerings

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- PMP (PMI) CCM or DBIA or ability to receive within 12 months of start date
- 7 years of related experience
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Texas regulatory experience and knowledge, including prior experience interacting successfully with TCEQ, BLM and TRRC
-Professional (PE) License in Texas
- Bachelors Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
-Experience managing facilities infrastructure and/or environmental projects for industrial clients
-Previous successful experience managing project scope, schedule, and budgets
-Proven experience managing preparation of engineering design packages for construction
-Exemplary skills in communicating project findings to technical and nontechnical audience


Skills and Abilities:
Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices. Demonstrates good communications skills, both verbal and written. Possesses in-depth knowledge of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks and opportunities. Work requires verbal skills, ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors. Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients. Ability to deal with many people and process a large volume of requests as necessary. Good personal computer skills including advanced knowledge in the use of MS Word and Excel. Demonstrates organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
