Client Service Leader - Transportation Services

Our Client is looking for a Client Service Leader within our South Transportation Group to help sustain, diversity and grow our transportation practice in South Carolina. In this position, you will work with a dynamic team to continue building our transportation business. You will lead the development of a business strategy to increase sales with our existing clients and developing new clients in South Carolina. This will include all aspects of transportation planning, design and construction inspection services. This position leads the business development activities for select clients in the SC region, oversees overall client service, represent our client in professional organizations, and support sales efforts across the greater SC area.

As a member of this team, you will be:
• Developing new business and maintaining high-value relationships with SCDOT, cities, counties, metropolitan planning organizations, municipalities, transit and urban services statewide
• Developing and managing client teams that include project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, as well as junior staff to develop strategic capture plans, proposal efforts, presentations, and other efforts of business development.
• Serving as a key member of our strategy team promoting growth in SC as well as supporting other regional growth initiatives.
• Serving as a technical or project lead as needed on projects of significant size and strategic importance.
• Being active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are members.
• Being a strong leader internally and externally.
• Supporting brand promotion through personal and staff participation in the market through professional societies, social media, and industry events.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in business development, assisting with the proposal process and presenting/meeting with DOT, municipal, county, MPO, transit and urban based clients in SC strongly preferred.
• AICP or other transportation related certifications.
• Progressive transportation engineering, traffic engineering or planning experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and successfully serve clients.
• Excellent communication, networking and team building skills.
• Strong experience meeting and working with South Carolina county and/or municipal transportation agencies.
• Transportation Engineering or planning experience at an Engineering Consulting firm in the SC market
