We are looking for a Full Stack Developer (Python) based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a Fintech Startup for musical artists based in Los Angeles, California.
Our client created a distribution & payment solution for artists & their teams. Offers music & video distribution, visualized data, monthly royalty payments, and simplified revenue splits. Our client brings clarity to the complicated process of digital rights management & monetization online.
The person in this role will basically help indie musicians stay indie, by bringing fintech to music! Will be passionate about software engineering and the music industry.
Responsibilities
- Drive the design and development of our lending, payments and royalties system
- Build the interfaces used by our artists and their teams to manage content and earnings
- Collect earnings data and allocate payments to joint royalty shareholders
- Build the system to underwrite, originate and recoup advances
- Design and build tools for analyzing, reporting, and visualizing earnings data
- Integrate with external payments and accounting systems
- Produce schema design, information architecture, and data presentation features
- Write well-tested code
- Mentor other engineers
Requirements
- Advanced Level of English
- 5+ years of development experience coding in Python and Javascript (React is preferred)
- 4+ years of experience working with SQL and/or PostgreSQL and/or Redis
- 2+ years of experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS or GCP
- Experience working on CI/CD and containerized environments. Terraform and Docker
- Startup experience and a continuous improvement mindset
- Diverse views and experience, as well as a tendency to include others
- An empathetic attitude
- An instinct to encourage collaboration and team-building
- Experience mentoring others and a desire to have mentors
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields
- Experience working in Fintech
- Data modeling skills are a huge plus. Apache Airflow
