Job Description – Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for managing large regional and national accounts while looking for new account opportunities. They will develop and implement national account sales and marketing strategies to increase sales to meet corporate goals. The Account Manager will be responsible for selling products and solutions to customers directly or through sales channels. They will develop relationships with Contractors, Consultants, Developers, and Property Owners while collaborating with Engineers and Architects. To maintain accurate tracking of leads they will consistently utilize the CRM. The Account Manager’s primary responsibility is sales growth, customer management, business development, new product penetration, and overall profitability.

 

Non-Negotiable Requirements

 

· Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business

· 3+ years of experience in the lighting industry selling to technical and executive decision-makers

· Must be a hunter who has brought on new business and successfully handled the full sales cycle all the way through to Account Management

· Must have excellent oral and written communication

· Must have proven success in consistently exceeding sales quota

· Must have experience selling to contractors, builders, designers

· Must have computer literacy with Word, Excel, and a CRM system

· Must be able to travel and cover a large territory

· Must possesses a valid and unrestricted Driver’s License
