The primary role of the VP of Sales is to be responsible for creating and implementing new business development strategies, leading the performance of all sales activities in assigned markets, and identifying and penetrating new markets. As the sales leader, the VP of Sales works with marketing to generate sales leads and brand awareness, staff and directs the direct sales team and independent representative network and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company goals, vision and values. The VP of Sales establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients, and both direct hire and independent sales team members.
