Our Client is a company that creates great digital products - whether it's building apps from scratch, growing product business, or a guiding a company's development team through expert consultation. We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative in Memphis, TN who will have a focus on generating new business and building their referral network.The OSR will have primary responsibility for setting up meetings, building relationships, understanding the unique needs of prospective clients and communicating that to the operations side to help field it through the process.Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Primarily hunting and building their network from first appointment through close
  • Bringing customized software development opportunities to clients
    • Scoping and estimating a project
    • Work collaboratively internally
    • Build and Translate Statement of Work to Customer
  • Build and grow existing relationships

Non – Negotiable Requirements

  • Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of success with selling custom software development services or IT services in an outside sales role
    • Candidates must have been hunters and have had a heavy focus on prospecting and building a network and territory
  • Candidates must come from the Memphis area with familiarity of the territory approximately 50 mile radius from Memphis
  • Candidates must be both consultative and technical to dig in into client discovery to understand the context to funding (the constraints, the decision makers and how to structure the deal and position the value)
  • Candidates must have been responsible for their own proposals and statements of work
  • Candidates must be independent and agile to work in a virtual environment quickly
  • Candidates must understand their career trajectory
    • Understand where they are in their career
    • Identify where they want to go
    • Identify what is needed to reach it
  • Candidates must be collaborative and coachable; but also have good communication skills that are able to lead and guide conversation
