New Business Development Representative

ProActivate - Remote, REMOTE

Generate new revenue for the company by researching, identifying, qualifying, proposing, and closing new high revenue and strategic value commercial accounts, as well as new business by expanding product categories with existing and named key accounts. Provide co-selling support for Regional Sales Managers, and sales and distribution channels. Identify and validate opportunities in new markets and product groups. Support Regional Sales Mangers in the identification of new sales and distribution channel partners. Support account onboarding and hand-offs to Account Representative Team. Support Account Representatives in growing and maintaining relationships with key clients, channel partners and rep firms.

Candidate Requirements

  • Candidate will have a minimum of 5 years relevant sales experience.
  • Candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, diverse sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Candidate will have demonstrated judgement to set priorities and follow through independently.
  • Candidate will have demonstrated ability at successfully navigate and close deals on the corporate, C-Suite level.
  • Candidate will have a proven successful selling record in direct national construction, commercial property, and/or plumbing wholesale distribution channels
  • Candidate will have insurance Industry or risk management experience
  • Candidate will have knowledge of the plumbing industry or plumbing trade standards and best practices.
  • Candidate will have experience with building management software (BMS) principles and technologies.
  • Candidate will demonstrate the ability to read a blueprint.
  • Candidate will be goal oriented, a creative thinker, and will enjoy applying knowledge in new ways to solve problems.
  • Candidate must be able to travel up to 50-60% of the time to vendor and customer sites.
  • Candidate must have knowledge of either the Plumbing Wholesale Industry (selling commercial or national) or Commercial Building Sales experience (electronic systems) - preferred
  • Candidate must have experience selling a product in the trades.
  • Candidate must show a successful track record of selling to National Accounts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base $90-125K DOE
  • Commission $35-75K
  • Anticipated OTE 1st year $120-130K; 2nd year > $200K
  • Full Benefits, 401K Match 3% (even without employee contribution)
  • Profit Sharing up to 3%
